False Vacuum Decay and the Destruction of the Universe

Random quantum fluctuations could cause an event that would quite literally destroy every atom in our universe. Life as we know it would forever become impossible. This event could occur at any time. It could occur upon completion of this sentence. This event is the false vacuum decay.
